When I think of myself as a make-up artist, it evokes this image of a thinner me, with really cool hair, and tattoos. This is how I picture myself. My goal is to get there! The hair and tattoos: done! Next, the weight. Clearly, I don't have to be thin to be successful, but I feel like my confidence will be up there. Besides, a thin cute girl is much more marketable than a fat one! I'm still working with a nutritionist to lose the weight. It's so easy, but so hard to do.
I also see myself as extremely successful and building a very profitable company. I have decided to go with Valerie Lavoie Make-Up Artistry. I highly doubt that it's been taken. For weeks, I have been polling my friends for ideas with the name. I'm so bad with thinking up professional names. After speaking to my make-up instructor, she said the biggest mistake she made was not including her name in her company. This is why I have decided to go with the simple, yet elegant and professional, name that I came up with. I have been told by a few that my name is great and that it makes the company sound very "high-end".
A dream of mine has been to get a cosmetic line into Sephora! In the future, I would love to work on developing one and getting it on the market. Who knows, I could be the next M.A.C!!! I already have a perfect name for it! Unfortunately, that is top secret!!! Hehe!
